Throughout the entire month of September, Ford employee teams from 38 countries around the world gave of their time and energy to such civic-minded activities as providing clean water, feeding the hungry and repairing schools and shelters. In total, thousands of Ford employees used their skills, energy and knowledge to help improve others' lives through the countless improvement projects that were launched in their communities.

On Friday, September 15, Ford volunteers from 24 states participated in Ford Accelerated Action Day by serving on more than 115 volunteer activities in their communities. In addition, the Ford Motor Company Fund bestowed $700,000 in grants to assist nonprofits with purchasing the tools and supplies they required to complete their volunteer projects.

The Ford Volunteer Corps comprises a global coalition of over 30,000 Ford employees that take part in community activities around the world every year. Even though September is the month with the largest concentration of Ford volunteers working in the community, Ford employees freely volunteer their time and energy to community projects throughout the year.

At Matheny Ford, we're proud to serve drivers from the St. Marys, Marietta, Williamstown, Harrisville and West Union areas.
